Good morning all,

Collecting document for my wife f2a visa invterview and they ask for police clearance document of place u reside for 6month or more. So my wife came to visit me this year on a b2 visa and stayed for 176 days ( she didn't overstay) and left before her b2 visa was gonna expired. That is about 6 month . Does she need a police clearance for the USA because she visited for about 6 month or she only need the one for Canada . If she does how does she get one because she when back to her Canada

Thank you all and good luck everyone

Why not get one ? its a quick process for someone with a clean background. i personally did it just to present a impressive application.i think it only took me probably a 10 days and i don't remember the cost. it only said that in whatever database they searched they could not find any adverse information regarding me. Do it. there is no harm.i did it in dt MTL.

No, she does not need a police clearance for the US, because:

a) She did not stay longer than six months

b) She did not live there, only visited

c) (most importantly) US police clearances are never requested (because immigration authorities have access to this information themselves)

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
