Unable To Schedule Final Interview

Our NOA2 with our case number came in back in August and the CEAC tracking tells us its ready to schedule the interview. So after when trying to schedule, it tells us our case number is invalid and it mentions an appointment letter from the NVC or Consulate section? What is this appointment letter they're talking about? Do we have to wait for another package after the NOA2 to schedule the final interview? My fiance already did her medical and readiness application online at the end of September.

Any insight would be helpful.

PS, Yes we quintillion checked the case number to make sure it was correct when entering it. Oddly enough, the LND2016XXXX we put in doesnt work however, the same LND2015XXXX number (switching our case number to read 2015 instead of 2016) lets us continue to the next step to register for a courier and such. Maybe its a glitch?

v/r,

Mike

I didn't see you mention filling out the DS 160 which is also separate from the Readiness form. This has to be filled out as well prior to being able to schedule your interview date. Did she fill this out?

I am not sure about the glitch to be honest, if you are worried about it I would email the embassy just to be sure.

Yes, she completed the DS-160 and got the confirmation number from it.

I would definitely put in a service request with embassy follow this link to be directed to the contact form regarding your concern. They quote a 5 business day turnaround time.

She called the embassy today and they told her she definitely has to wait for a letter... How come I haven't heard on these forms of anyone else waiting for a letter from London?

Because no one else has had to wait for a letter :/

That's really annoying what's happening to you. Originally when we tried to schedule an interview it said our case wasn't ready, but once our CEAC updated from At NVC to In Transit, it let us. Soooo something's wonky with your case number.

It did work! I put the email request in on Friday and by the end of Monday she was able to schedule her interview. The first available date is 6 weeks out on December 1st. Our NOA2 expires 28 Nov however, our lawyer said they automatically extend it. Is this true? We're excited to finally get through this hurdle.

Yay congrats!

Yes, you are able to extend that date. However, you will need to send your fiancee a letter stating that you are still free and able to marry, and intend to marry within 90 days of her entering the US. I'm trying to find the link that specifies that, I can't remember where I saw it @_@

Ceisenbruch is correct. You will need to have the petitioner send a new letter that is signed and dated closer to your interview date that states they are free and willing to marry you!

Below is a link to a thread I started that has all the information regarding extending your petition past its expiration date: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/604353-delay-k-1-process-at-what-step-can-we-delay-it/#entry8246499

Good luck!!!
