Hi folks

Need your advise. I've got naturalized 8 month ago. My 14 years old daughter lives in Canada with her mom. Do I need to petition my daughter using form 130, or can she just apply for a US passport, during one of her visits to the States? I'd appreciate if somebody can enlighten me what is the process.

To qualify for US citizenship, your daughter must have LPR status. She does not qualify for US citizenship with visits.

Yws you need to start with the I-130 and go through the whole process. She needs to be under 18, an lpr, and in your custody to gain citizenship though you.
