As a former firefighter, it is always difficult to deal with this type of tragedy. Be it a car accident, or building fire, when someone loses their life it is tough especially when they are young.

Nine people six children and three adults died early Monday in Memphis' deadliest house fire in decades, and one other child is fighting for his life at a hospital, authorities said.

Fire officials said they received a 911 call from someone inside the home around 1:20am, who said that there was a fire and they were trapped inside due to the home's security door and window bars.

Firefighters were on the scene in just four minutes, and it took them about 15 minutes to get into the house - but by then it was too late for most of the family.
