Long name for AOS

Hi all,

We're getting married in few weeks on a K1 visa. so heres the thing,

I have a really long given name that could go front and back on my future SSN card and GC lol. anyway i'd rather avoid any issues with the name. its 18 character long plus family name is 22. when we get married can i just use my first and last name and then when we file for AOS write as our marriage certificate. or does it have to match our I-129F and my visa.

You can change your name at the marriage. I had a problem similar to yours - except to a much less degree as I only have 5 last names.

I realized no American form or document would fit my name ever, so when I married I decided to change my name to the standard "First Middle Last" American format. The certified copy of your marriage license serves as the proof of name change. You have to use the new name in all aspects after undergoing the marriage. Make sure to check your state laws regarding changing name through marriage as there are some variations.

I was actually thinking to do it like an american format to make my life easier.
