Hi all. We had the interview today and were approved. However, they require two documents that are near impossible to aquire: a police certificate from Shanghai and one from Iran.

In regards to the Shanghai pc: they shut off all foreigners from being issued a pc from Shanghai. She has acquired one from Hangzhou, her current Residence but Shanghai will not budge.

For the Iranian pc, well, it's stuck in red tape.

So we are stuck.

We will write a review soon. To sum it up, it took about three hours for her to get through. The lady conducting the interview was nice and didn't look at the ds160 nor any paperwork required of me as the petitioner. She asked for photos of us together and she asked a few questions about me and why we met in Turkey for the first time. They were adamant and steadfast with the police certificates.

They did take all of her original documents such as birth certificate and what not. Hopefully they will return those.

I will send updates as we have them. Thanks for the help visa journey!

They keep her passport? They must know that Shanghai is shut down. So, what's the deal with that. The Iran pc.. looks like patience is on order. Sorry to hear you hit a snag. Seems like a number of people have been having Police Certificate problems lately.

They did not keep her passport. They issued a green piece of paper with the other box checked and the required documents listed.

In regards to Shanghai police certificate. It's true they know it is shut down and they even called the office about it and were told it would be open soon (even though they've told my fiancée since March the same thing). We think that the office telling her this has convinced them to go ahead with requiring the Shanghai document.

The Iranian pc definitely calls for patience.
