Finally got interview!!

After several months of waiting, anxiousness, and sadness we received our interview tonight. I finally got in touch with the Embassy thank goodness. They said they had no idea what happened to our case, but it seemed to have fell through some cracks. Anyways, they scheduled our interview for tomorrow due to the time we've been waiting. Which is very exciting, scary, and nerve wracking all at the same time. Our petition expired in 2 days, and if we wouldn't have been able to call, there's no telling how long we would've still been waiting for our interview. Just had to share the excitement!!

Hi good day!

I am also worried like you that our petition will expire without us getting the interview date yet. The embassy in Riyadh is also not responding to any emails... How were you abe to get in touch with them?I am hoping that they will reply to my emails, but no reply so far.

I just want to ask how long will it takes for the embassy to send a Police clearance request letter? I did email them 3 times already but no reply until now. and are they going to send me the pocket 3 which is the checklist form requirements via post? My fiancee received only an email with the pocket and was asked to make me follow it( the requirements)

any help is appreciated

The police clearance endorsement letter can be obtain from the nearest US Embassy or Consulate. You have to arrange the appointment for you to take the letter, the link for arranging the appointment is written in the packet 3/intruction letter.

The embassy received our case from NVC last July and i also have submitted the packet 3 in august 10(even though i haven't received the packet 3 email from them even after NVC update). I have been sending emails to them but i haven't received any reply. I've read from several posts that the embassy usually doesn't reply to emails.

My fiancé made an appointment with the consulate in Dhahran to get his request for the police clearance. Also, my fiancé only received packet 3 by email, not post.

I would give it another month or so and if you still haven't heard from them, you can give them a call. That's how I got in touch with them, but I think the only reason they took my call was because it had been so long since I had turned in my packet 3. I've heard by many people they don't entertain phone calls.

I am just worried because they never reply to my emails. They even haven't sent me email about packet 3, i just went ahead and send them my packet 3, although NVC case status has been updated after i sent them my packet 3. Our petition will expire in Oct.
