Hi. My interview is in mid April so I still have some time to make sure

I have everything.

On the letter (packet4), they say to make sure to have original

documents + copies...

Do they want originals for all of the documents?

I don't think I have the original divorce papers from my USC Fiancee.

:help:

Let's see about the checklist send in packet 3:

1. Passport - [CHECK]

Original & copies of non blank pages.

2. Photographs - [CHECK]

Don't think I need photocopies here.

3. Medical Exam - [CHECK]

I ain't gonna open that which means I can't make photocopies so...

4. Birth Certificate - [CHECK]

Was able to get an english version + made a photocopy if it.

5. Evidence in lieu of - [NOT NEEDED. See 4]

6. Police Certificate - [CHECK]

Original + Copy

7. Court and prison records - [NOT NEEDED. I'm an angel. :innocent: ]

8. Military Record - [NOT NEEDED. Never been in military]

9. Divorce and Death Certificates - [???]

I think I have copies of my Fiancee's divorce papers. Should I ask her

to send the originals? As for me, 1st marriage

10. Evidence of Support - [???]

I don't know if I have originals for that. I'll have to check if I have

copies.

Do I need other things like last 3 years of income taxes for the

Affidavit? The original?

Anything else besides that?

I'm probably stressing for nothing....:blink::wacko:

I would include originals of everything, and photocopy your entire passport- the blank pages and covers.

Also for the I 134- I would also include originals of all documentation.

For the I 134 I am sending:

1. letter from my employer (on letterhead) of my salary, my current standing with the school dostrict (excellent employee with tenure), value of my life insurance-

2. My currrent tax form and past three years W-2

3. My retirement statement of value

4. My 2006 Social Security statement which lists all of the wages of every year of my life.

5. My TSA- stock statement which shows the present value of my account.

My bank statements, I am not including, as my savings balance is pitiful!

Hopefully, this will be enough.

Good Luck!

They will want originals of everything they will keep

Police records, Affidavit of support (I-134), Medical, Passport Pictures.

You will want to make copies for yourself maybe for Police records and Affidavit of support to have a record of what you submitted to them, of course you cant make copies of Medical so forget about that.

They will want copies of documents that they cant take away from you BUT they will want to see the originals

Birth certificate, Divorce papers ( i would have your fiancee send her original divorce papers to you)

Passport maybe.

Hope it helps

Phila, you really need to have either a letter from your bank or the last 12 months statements. You could well get a 221-g (Intent to deny) if you don't have them available. As long as your income is sufficient they won't look hard at them and won't care how pityful it is.

HI there. My interview is this THursday, March 29th, and after reading this comment, I can't help but feel worried. My fiance provided me with a letter from his employer confirming his salary, position and hire date. He also gave me investment/stock statements. However, he was unable to get a bank statement. Can this really ruin our chances of getting approved?
