I had the interview on 31 July and they didn't ask for it, neither did they at the medical centre (Mideast in Deira), I just had to tell them that my interview is scheduled for so and so date I need to take the test (they would ask you for the interview appointment but not the letter, reason being the test must be taken 2 days or a week before the interview so the results are current).

Below is the content of the embassy letter:

Embassy of the United States of America

Consular Section

P. O. Box 4009

Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

To prepare for your interview appointment with a consular officer, please read and follow carefully the instructions below.

You must complete the following two forms, print them and bring with you on your interview day:

Forms DS-160, Nonimmigrant Visa Application (online application form)

http://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

Form DS-156K, Nonimmigrant Fiancé Visa Application

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf

If your children will apply with you, one copy of Form DS-160 for each child must be completed in full.

Obtain the following documents on this checklist which pertain to you. Do NOT send them to this office,

NOTE: The documents listed are required for both your nonimmigrant visa and the U.S. Immigration authorities when you apply for permanent residence status.

PASSPORT: A passport must be valid for travel to the United States and must have at least six months validity beyond the issuance date of the visa + 1 copy.

DIVORCE/DEATH CERTIFICATE: Original Divorce/Death certificate (if applicable) plus translation (if not in English) + 1 copy of each.

EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP: You will be asked to submit evidence that you have previously met your fiancé (e), and proof of a valid fiancé (e) relationship with your petitioner. It is, therefore, useful to bring with you letters, photographs, or other evidence of your engagement.

POLICE RECORDS: Each applicant aged 16 years or over is required to submit a certificate from the appropriate judicial or police authorities from the country of the applicant's nationality and/or current residence where the applicant has resided for at least six months since attaining the age of sixteen, as well as from all other countries where the applicant resided for at least six months since attaining the age of sixteen. For countries maintaining national police records, a certificate from the national police or judicial authorities must be submitted. For countries not maintaining national police records, a certificate must be obtained from each locality. A police certificate must also be obtained from the police authorities of any place where the applicant has been arrested for any reason, regardless of the length of residence. Nothing much really, 3 questions: where did you meet and how did the story unfold, what do you do in life, what's your bachelor degree in. He was super nice and said approved straight away, and I said I have prepared an entire folder with evidence and all don't you want to see it?! He said no your story is a normal and logical story, and added jokingly, you should see the cases we get.. It took less than 15mn

Timeline

The line of questions will depend on your case , and how convinced was USCIS and the CO.

my thoughts to you is , be aware of your own case , no one , not the USCIS or the CO know your case better than you do , always remember that , it's an advantage.

with that being said , know what your redflags are "If Any" , and be prepared to address them with evidence if you can. if none , then be confident and relaxed. it should be simple

Good day,

My k1 visa has been approved by USCIS last July 19 and got the NVC case number Aug7 and its already on ready status.

I have filled up ds160 and paid for the visa fee. My interview is on Sept18 but I did not receive a consular letter with the panel list of physician etc. The only letter I got was the instruction page after ds160. Does anyone here experienced the same? Pls help me on how did you resolve this.

Appreciate your help.

Hi,

How did you pay the visa fee? Our case has been transferred already in abu dhabi. I was the one that had a case where was mistakenly sent to riyadh. Hope you can still remember.

I checked our status and it has been in transfer status for one week then after it change to "READY" and case number added an ABD code so i guess it has been already in ABDusem. I already submit my ds160 and trying to register to pay for visa. But its not working. Every time im clicking the "create applicant" it doesnt go to the next page. Instead its giving me this message under the case number "is not ready for an appointment".

What should i do? Please help me. Thank you.

Hello! We got approved last June 15 got our NVC case number on July 15 then called nvc asking whats going on with our case they said they transferred to the consulate and received it on July 29! Til now we havent heard anything from them! Not even informing us if they have received or not. But after reading suggestions and advises that we can book interview and medical we did it! Booked for next month. But we are worried without the packet 3! We need the appointment letter right?

And one more thing, to email them is so complicated!

Hows your case? Did you proceed gathering documents? Why cant you pay visa to their site?

Email the Abu dhabi embassy and ask your packet3. Ive been waiting for it too. I emailed them but havent get response yet. We have gathered some of our documents needed and almost done. But ill wait for the packet 3 first before i go for medical to be safe.

And yes you need the packet 3 letter.

But the problem is they dont reply timely. Im worried that it may take several weeks for them to reply til my interview date. I keep on sending them email no reply not even one. Hope everything goes well. ?

For you, everything will be alright. Have you paid the visa already? What happen to your account? Make sure that its "Ready" in the CEAC status before scheduling. Or maybe you chose the wrong option in the first steps while creating an account. It should be K appointment.

Hi,

My issue just fixed today. Consular office replied that my case is already updated. So i tried to fill up again and it goes to the next page. Im now stuck on payment page. There is available slot but only one. I dont wanna pay yet and go for appoinment. Im afraid that we might not get also the P3 on time.

I emailed abu dhabi before about our transfer of case and they replied us after three days. When will be your interview? Try to email the below email add. Thats where i ask help about my issue. And inyangeli too when she was waiting on her packet 3 before.

Oh ok I see! Coz for us it has been 2 months now since they received our case so we just decided to book and pay the visa. I hope it will not be a problem! ?

Our interview date is on October 18, we chose this date so it will be atleast one month before and we still have all the time trying to contact them. If not, then I gues we will just re-schedule it. Did you try to send to that e-mail add? Did it work?

Regarding the availability date in the site, for example you pay the visa fee you could actually pick the date you want on the next page and it will give you instructions.

On our case yes it works. But try to email abu dhabi again and ask them your packet 3. Hope we will received our packet 3 next week.

Maybe theyre just busy because of the back log from last holiday. From the page of payment it shows one available date. So you think theres more if ill pay now?
