The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

The negative impact on Fuji of SMAP's breakup appears limited. There may, in fact, be a short-term boost. "Some expect Fuji to enjoy higher viewing rates until the end of the year because fans will likely be watching SMAP-related programs," according to NQN.

That said, the stock of Rohto Pharmaceutical and retail giant Seven & I Holdings, which sponsor the band's TV program, fell 1.8% and 1.4%, respectively. The Nikkei Stock Average declined 0.3% on the day to 16,869.56.

The news of the breakup drew a response not only from the market Monday, but also from politicians. Olympic minister Tamayo Marukawa, referring to SMAP's role as a supporter of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, expressed her disappointment, saying: "They said the "P" in SMAP stood for Paralympics, so I was looking forward to them providing a huge boost to the games. It's a shame, but I hope the members continue to support the Paralympics and the athletes."
