Ok so all info has been filed out on the cgi federal site, fee also paid. I have read about people refreshing to check for available appointments? What page do we refresh? The dashboard page seems to not show anything of any relevance. The appointment block only says something about no appointment being made. Will available appointments become visible in that block ?

I referenced an older reply on another posting of mine. Anyone who has these questions can find a lot of answers here

However I am still wondering what page to refresh?

Last time I checked last week while waiting for my fiance to be ready, it had a 8/16/2016 and than a few days later went to 8/17/2016. Now it says no availability yet. >< I hope they open up soon. I'd really like to get one for this month. Wish you both good luck as well!

From the album I created

Refresh that page, and keep an eye out in the area I drew the box. That is where the appointments will appear. Once you have a date show up in that area, then you can click it and gain access to the calendar.

We must have had very good timing. I finished the required forms and made the payment on Friday. When I checked the appointment calendar there were 3 days available with 5 appointments. We grabbed the 8-22 interview appointment but we could have had 8-16 or 8-17. We just didn't want to risk not getting the medical exam in time. Guiying is getting her medical exam today so we should be GTG.

I feel like some real progress is happening now and these dates are lining up with the dates I circled on my calendar 5 months ago. I hope we are on a run.

I would agree with Chris and keep checking the appointment calendar for cancelations, also you might try early on Friday as I have read on other threads that they release appointments on that day.

Good luck with getting through the finish line in this process.

Steve and Guiying

Unbelievable that this problem is still happening! The system is so ridiculous! :ranting: We had this same problem THREE years ago trying to schedule for my now wife! If you check my post history I detailed exactly what I did to get an appointment.

Sorry, I didn't realize VJ doesn't allow you to search through users posts easily. It only goes back a few months on my profile from what I can tell.

Here's the original post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/437043-scheduling-the-interview-using-cgi-stanley/

Here's a post from last year that might have more current information: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/580325-scheduling-visa-interview-no-dates-or-a-calendar-guangzhou/

Good luck! I envision many sleepless nights for you to schedule. I don't think I slept for more than a few hours every night for a good week while waiting for more slots to be released!

Thanks Daveykins!

I will try checking around noon China time. Confusion is that I'm not seeing a blank calendar with blocked out dates that you showed before. I don't even get a calender I can click too many times to receive the reached limit.

The dashboard just shows the same message as what it says here. I can't even click it. Each time to reach the Schedule Consular Appointment page I have to click New Application/ Schedule Appointment and keep going over my form in order to reach it. Patrick & LiuNa are you both seeing same thing?

We've paid our fees already. It doesn't have anything to do with receiving Packet 4 right? Because I remember being able to see dates before I received Packet 4, just the dates were too early and My fiance has received all his notarized docs yet.

Upcoming there is Mid Autumn Festival and National Week. I hope the Embassy doesn't close for an entire week on National Week or do they?
