Question regarding sponsorship

So me and my wife were all set for starting our process but duo to a lot of drama we don't have a sponsor anymore. There are other sponsor alternatives but they're very unreliable and we're sick of delays, we really want to get this thing over with!

My wife (The USC) is in the US right now and was offered a job by a friend. She is working full time and her income is well above the requirements, but she doesn't have any taxes showing any income. She is ok with IRS but they have no income records of her as she reported no income in her last 4 income taxes.

Would that be a problem? Can't she just show proof of her current income, letter from her employer etc to prove her current status? We also have a decent amount of assets to add up if necessary. Would this work or is the sponsoring really 100% required?

Was her income in the last 3 years UNDER the filing threshold? If not, she's not OK with the IRS.

She had 0 income. She was actually told that filing was not required but she did so anyway, when she got back to the US she checked with the IRS to make sure everything is ok and it is.

Current income without past tax returns may or may not work, if she's had the job for at least 6 months than the chances are better. List assets just in case and line up a joint sponsor just in case.

Well, by the time that the Affidavit is required she'll have the job for an year pretty much... She began working at the end of march, judging by the date we'll start (october) and the date where the affidavit is required it'll already be time for filing the income tax in 2017.

I really hope that the sponsor is not required as it's the only thing that has ever given us trouble!
