They are probably just way behind on incoming cases, they will probably catchup soon. Not sure on how many days out of the week but I don't think they work on k1 visas more than 2 or maybe 3 days a week...

Maybe so. Let us just hope and pray for the best.

We called NVC today and found out from them that indeed BKK hasn't received our case file yet. They told us to call them again tomorrow and next week if we haven't received it yet. Apparently, TH (BKK) does physical transfer only unlike other consulates that do both the electronic and physical transfers.

Anyhow, ours will come. That's inevitable. :-) God bless and have a good day!

Well, I guess we will all receive our Packet 3 at the same time. :-) I have finished gathering all the required documents and even paid the visa fee but still case file is still "IN TRANSIT." I hope our interview date will be this month. God bless!

Bensh, were you able to pay the visa fee online? if so, how did you manage that? Thank you for any advice and best regards,

David

Hi, hi!

No, I didn't. I chose to go to Krungsri to pay the visa fee. Heard from the embassy yet? We did. It's not here yet. :-(

Well, it's just 26 days for us and had rough days overthinking where the papers could be but I am learning to just trust the Lord over this matter. There's nothing we can really do but to trust in Him and pray about it. He knows where it is and He will give it to us in His perfect time and will. Here I am embracing the packing thing and getting rid of stuff I cannot bring.

Don't be sad. You are not alone. Just think of it this way. A day spent waiting is actually a day closer to being with our beloved. It will come. Let us just keep waiting. I've been a fan of snail mails since the day I can remember and waiting for something to arrive especially from the US doesn't take more than 10 days using regular postal services. We don't know why there's a glitch in our process but know that it will come and when it does, we'd be the happiest people! :-) Let us hope and pray that we don't get any 221g though. Hehehehehe.

So today is 16 days since our case was shipped to the Embassy in Bangkok, according to the sent date NVC gave me over 2 weeks ago. But when I check the status of our case online it still shows up as In Transit. So I called NVC this morning and asked the nice lady...can you please tell me anything about the status of my case? She responded that it is already with the Embassy in Bangkok and told me when it arrived...actually just 4 days after the ship date. I asked her...so why does the case status still show as In Transit? She said the some embassies are really slow at updating. But she said don't worry, it is there. She suggested I contact the Embassy directly to find out more about the status.

So I sent another email to the Embassy inquiring about the status.

That is wonderful news! I am very happy for you! I wonder why the embassy here hasn't contacted you yet when it's been there a long time ago. Anyway, I am again very thrilled and it gives me goosebumps to hear that NVC knows when your case file arrived. Ours is still under "investigation" as when my fiance called on Monday they said there seems to be an issue why they haven't received ours. I'll probably ask him to call NVC when he wakes.

I hope you get a positive response from the embassy this time.

Know what? I was thinking probably we should make a phone call to the embassy here itself and see. It might be there and might have not been updated in the system and so the people responding emails do not really know if it is there or not. I had a friend who went personally to the embassy to inquire about her situation but it was student visa and not K1 visa.

It took 6 weeks for our case to be logged into the TH system, don't worry once they open your case it will go fast. They only open so many cases per immigration officer, so once they close out a group they will open more.

If that was the case I doubt the embassy in bangkok would have told me they dont have my case and to contact the nvc :(

This wait is horrendous. Just seeing everyone else get interview days after 3-4 days amd we have to wait weeks and/or months isnt fair.

I know. Other countries are really quick in this process such as the Philippines and other countries nearby. I guess embassies do things differently.

Yes, it does sound fair but let's keep waiting. We're already in this game and what David mentioned earlier, "Waiting is the name of the game."

Soon, we will get our papers, very soon! It's the fourth week for us now. God bless all of us. Just hang in there!
