Hi, I went to the citizenship interview in phoenix last week at 8 am, they never called me, at 9:00 i went to ask an officer why I was never called, he couldn't find my name in the list, he went to check with the supervisor, after 15 min I was called and started the interview.

Near the end of the interview, the interviewer had a hard time closing my file on the computer, then a message pop-up that they have been looking for me at the Nebraska office for the 8:00 interview the whole morning. Whaaat!!! Nebraska, why there? I never visited or lived there. I lived in Phoenix and in the same address since I came to the U.S. how did this confusion happen!!! I passed my interview and after a long conversation with the Nebraska office, the interviewer said I should be receiving an oath ceremony letter 6 to 8 weeks fron now.

My question, did this situation ever happen to someone here and can it mess up the oath ceremony scheduling?

That is very strange! I have never heard of such an issue where the prospective citizen has not lived in the other place before.

Hopefully your interviewer got things sorted, but I'd certainly keep an eye on them and make sure the address on your oath letter for where the ceremony is is correct when you get it!

@EnvoyeeDD:

That's very strange!! But the good news is that the interviewer was able to close it out.

On a different note: when was your priority date for citizenship application, in other word when did they receive your application? Recently saw comments on visajourney forum that most of the applications (particularly starting with IOE*) are stalled so trying to get an idea approximately which months application phoenix is currently processing?
