Using a co-sponsor for I-134/864

I am currently filling out forms with regard to the I 134 for the Affidavit of Support for the K-1 visa and by extension preparations for the I 864 which I understand I will likely need down the road. I was trying to clarify a few things and I thought some of the brilliant experiences on here could help me on them. Do I need to write an attached letter of why I'm using a co-sponsor? I recently graduated from the University and have been working nothing but internships over the summer for the last few years that does not meet the requirement but if I attached the pay stubs from my job of the last 2 months, accumulated for the year I will more than meet the 125% but I figured I should have a co-sponsor anyway who has already filled out the I 134. I have received the 1040 forms from the IRS regarding the most recent tax periods for myself and the co-sponsor. Is there anything else I should be including?

Thanks a lot,

Peter

No need to explain why you need a sponsor.

You and the sponsor need:

Form i134 filled out and signed

Complete tax return papers (1040, w2, schedules and whatever else) or tax transcript for the most recent year

Letter from employer

Recent pay stubs

Bank statements (optional if the income alone covers the poverty guidelines)

You'll have to do the same thing once it comes to the aos, only then using the i864

Good luck!
