I-751 - Envelope question

Hi everyone,

I sent in my I-751 last Thursday and it arrived at USCIS on Friday. Through USPS tracking I learned that it did arrive and was signed for. I just remembered however that I didn't write on the envelope "ATTENTION: I-751". Instead I just put the return address and the USCIS address in Vermont.

How bad is this and will it get it to the right department? The first page in my packet says I-751 on the cover letter but I just didn't write it on the actual envelope

Also - is it bad/weird that they still haven't cashed my check?

Thanks

Yes, my lawyer informed me it's taking about a year. Once I get the NOA1 and do the biometrics I'll be able to breathe a bit easier

A YEAR? Jeebus.

I should've moved to the west coast just to avoid this mess :sleepy:

You'll never know things could change very quickly. VSC was not always this slow. They were running at 6-8 months average over the last few years, then steadily slowed down to this point this year. It won't take too much time to get back to a more manageable processing time if they wanted to. just keep following this forum every 1-2 months to see where they are.

CSC is competing with VSC on who is slower....I have past 7 months and still waiting for any news from CSC. So it doesn't matter much where we are.

We could only speculate but maybe the VSC director asked a favor from the CSC director to slow down so that his office doesn't look too bad. :)
