K-1 visa interview - affidavit of support help

Hi all - in a slight panic here, hopefully needlessly.

My interview at the US embassy is scheduled for next week and I was going through all my paper work. When my fiancee filled in the I-134 and signed it, she emailed it to me and I printed it out to take with me. I am now worried I should have the original that she should have sent to me via airmail.

Has anybody ever been successful using a copy of the I-134 affidavit of support? Obviously now there is no time for her to get the original to me by Wednesday.

I've heard the UK is more linient than most for the I-134, but almost all signed things like that require a wet signature, meaning not a photocopy, emailed copy, or electronically signed copy.

You could do an inquiry with the consulate and ask, but don't be surprised if they ask for a wet signature.

Have your fiancée send one with a wet signature as soon as the post office opens next time. If you don't have it in time for the interview and they still ask for it, you're ready to send it to the embassy as soon as you get it.

Hmm ok, thanks for replies and help.

I've decided to contact the embassy via their contact form - they're normally pretty good at getting back to you. If they say it's fine with a photocopy then I'm good to go, if not (as I've booked my interview online) I guess I'll just reschedule it while my fiancee sends me the original form. Don't want to waste my time and money with two trips to London.
