Hi everyone,

I'm working on N-400 to apply for Naturalization. Here is my problem :

-My maidden name is : QUYEN THI NGOC DOAN

- My name was changed after married is: QUYEN THI NGOC DUONG

Now, I would like to keep my last name by requesting a Name change in N-400 ( in section Name Change) : QUYEN DOAN NGOC DUONG

If anyone had been through this similar cases like this, please help me. I don't know if i can do it. because it is said :" you do not need to request a name change if your name has changed through marriage, divorce, or other course oder." but i really want to get my last name back.

Thank you very much!

You can change your name to any name you want to use. The name change petition will be addressed just before the oath ceremony (it was for my wife), quick and easy.
