Change K3 Appointment to IR1

Did anyone try to change the K3 Appointment to IR1, I read in one of the shortcuts that's its possible. I have submitted all of my documents for the IR1 to the NVC end of last month and hoping for a case closed by end of month. The embassy in Amman sent us an email last month to schedule the K3 appointment but we didn't do so as we wanted to go wait for the IR1, but I was wondering if I can save some time by scheduling it and then changing if the case close comes before it.

You have already picked your path because you are going the CR1/IR1 rote. There is no K3 to select. I am sure NVC has already administratively closed the I-129F. But no matter it's already dead.

And no you cant keep both going. You have already chosen.
