Waiting time for (future) immigrant spouse

My mom just married a US citizen last month and has just got her marriage license last week, now she's filling her paper for her green card to become a permanent resident; so I'm wondering how long is the wait until I will get my green card, I'm 19 currently and unmarried. Would I be in the F2A category? And how is the wait time for said category to be able to fill a visa application?

Thank you in advance :)

PS: The title is misleading, I meant to say immigrant spouse's child.

It will take about a year for her to get her greencard. Once she has it, she can then petition for you (as you were over 18 when your mom married your USC stepdad, he cannot petition for you).

You may be F2A (2 year wait for most countries), but chances are you will age out into F2B (6.5 years wait for most countries). Details here: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/bulletin/2016/visa-bulletin-for-july-2016.html
