The passport style photo of the beneficiary's face is nicely lit on one side and slightly shadowed on the other. It is as though there is a very small amount of side-lighting going on.

Is this a problem?

Since it is an important application, why don't you make sure the photos are properly taken to avoid delay for this silly reason.

Her taking another passport pic and getting it to me will not be simple due to various factors and as such I was hoping the pic I have would suffice. It appears that it will not. But I will do what I need to do.

Have her take another picture, if it is problem sending it to you by mail, she can ask to have it saved in a file format and then she can send it to you where you can take it to Target, walmart, wallgreen, staples and they will printed it out for you.

I would not use the one you have now.
