Really? that's good because my boyfriend's income is only enough the 100% poverty requirement

Then it a great time to be filing for K1's in Philippines

I always thought the income verification was a waste of time for all parties involved.

It is hit and miss still as to the CO asking for the I-134.

Omg this gives me so much hope. My fiance is dual citizen. Been in the us for 10 yrs and went back to ph to study culinary then got back to us since 2014 and worked for 2 yrs as a chef but he only gets around $1400 per month and we have a 1yo baby. His mom is a pharmacist and his dad is a manager of walmart so we were thinking about co sponsorship but still very worriedbec we heard manila usem doesnt allow that. Ill pray that this willcontinue. USEM does accept co-sponsors with the K-1, they just don't accept all co-sponsors. To improve the odds of them accepting a co-sponsor from the K-1 it is recommended to use close family - parents, siblings. Your fiance's parents improve the odds.

But as said, quite often USEM is not asking for evidence of support all the time. Still listed as required in the embassy instructions letter so be prepared.

It's funny how we look on a situation like "maybe needed" and we don't get asked and we say "wow, I sure did a lot of work for nothing" and then they ask and we say "boy am I glad that I had those documents prepared". You just never know with USEM if they will ask. Best to be prepared for the financial proof.

Bank statements aren't listed as required. Tax return and W2 are listed as required.

With that said, many times over the past couple years USEM has not been asking for support evidence.
