Hi,

We sent our petition for I-130 for my son in the philippines last April 22, 2016 we've received the receipt for it and the case number.

I wanted to go home this year around October so I can process my son's passport. I'm only working for at least 7 months in my current job right now.

I sent a request for a month of personal leave at work but HR told me to send them a documentation that will provide information showing that

I am required to be there for the immigration process.

I only have the receipt and it is under my husbands name because he is the one who is petitioning my son I am only holding a permanent resident.

I don't know where to go from here I am not sure where to get those kind of documentation.

My question is that does USCIS will ask for my sons passport first before they set an interview or approve it?

and do I need to be present during the interview?

If anyone already experience or have some information on how to resolve this issue I would really appreciate it very much.

Thank you all in advance.

S.W

Hi honey kitten I'm going through the same process as you with my stepdaughter from the Philippines also I started my petition on April 19 of this year so let's keep in touch with one another. You don't have to attend the interview with your son but someone from your family has to be able to come
