To find the relative number of visa overcomes, the statistics are published on the DOS website: Note because these applications are spread over fiscal years, the numbers aren't 1 for 1 or in cohorts, if that makes sense.

A K-1 is pretty much a guaranteed visa UNLESS there are skeletons in the closet or you are at the Ghanaian embassy. Did you take pictures with his mom and in his home town not just Lagos?

FY15 Ks issued/refused/overcome world wide:

number of Ks issued (look at part II of the charts)

This is ineligibility overcomes by type:

The majic number for Nigeria is about 30 total days. Less than that and it is a red flag that you don't have enough face time.

There is no magic number for Nigeria. Each application is considered on the totality of its merits. More relevant principles are reasonableness (would a prudent person act like you did?) and corroboration (can you support your claims with multiple, mutually reinforcing, sources of evidence?).

There is a number of days where the consulate will think you have had adequate expose to the person in country. I have been here for way longer than you and no it isn't done on the merits of the individual applications. You have CO's with more case load than time to review so they set guidelines and checklist to make gross assumptions. Had the CO on our first K1 petition bothered to really look at the evidence they wouldn't have even gone down the line of questioning that go them in trouble ( and wasted an extra year of my time )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Just seeing this, so for posterity.... My spouse never came to Nigeria, and I was approved without problems. There is no magic number of days.
