Hey guys,

We received our passport and packets awhile ago, and i'm all set to fly out to the US to start the last lot of paperwork.

I've just realised an issue with my documents I received back, the envelope containing my passport and packet.

I'm flying from the UK to Vancouver, and then to Hawaii.

I'm wondering who exactly i'll be giving my DHS immigration officers packet to.

I don't know if the US has a border office equivalent running in that airport.

I know that my last visit to the US I passed through LAX and did my visa flim flam there. I distinctly remember there being no form of immigration security for hawaii when exiting the airport.

Can anybody shed some light on my problem?

Sorry if my post seems severely ill informed, I'm really inexperienced with travel, immigration and airports.

Thank you for your time.

Did you fly to Hawaii from outside of the country or from within the US?

There is definitely immigration for anybody flying in from outside of the US. As you'll be flying in from Canada, you'll have to go through immigration where you'll give them your packet and all other documents. You should be fine as long as the airport you're flying to is an approved POE.

Ahh okay, yeah, that's why you haven't experienced immigration at Hawaii.

You should be alright since you'll be on an international flight to Hawaii.
