Hi, does nvc or consulates/embassy required joint/cosponsor birth certificate or naturalization cerf? My joint/cosponsor does not have anything except his passport ?

I heard that they're required a citizenship evidence to eligible to be a joint sponsor, however i'm not sure about birth certificate, some people said consulates ask for it. Thanks for your response though.

They don't even need to be a USC, LPR is good enough as long as they reside and pay taxes in the US.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

2/8/17: GC received (day 150)

With your AOS package to NVC yes a joint sponsor has to show either that they are a US citizen, LPR or naturalized. So any of the documents you mentioned is fine.
