Hi guys I have question :

I`m going to school and I have practical part in one of my classes...and you know practical classes are groups...this class is divided into crews and each crew to three parts : one uses the machine and the other write the readings and the last one hold the handle....

After this class I took half of these readings by mistake...and I had to submit the worksheet next day , as I got home I found out I have half of readings...I emailed my colleague but he did n`t answer he`s one of the lazy students. I had to submit anything or I will get zero. what I did is (( I submitted the readings of other group)...

The problem is the instructor graded my work and gave me 100% but he put this outline in my grade on line:

((Individual Feedback:

Please see my attached review comments.

These field notes do not reflect the readings that YOUR field crew observed on ........ There are serious ethical issues (both professionally and academically) with this action, especially since this has happened on more than one instance.

You and I need to have an honest discussion on this issue. ))

If you guys notice he said happened on more than one instance..coz some day the entire class submitted the readings of the other class but he didnt add ethical issue ..coz they are 20 students..he`s not a good person.he wants to show his muscles to one weak student..Anyway I discussed that with him he said you learned the lesson now ...and he asked me to add my real readings to my notes ...but he said the he will KEEP the outline about ethics in my grade online.

Will that affect my citizenship ?

And will that affect my school history?

Thanks

No.

And will that affect my school history?

I don't know your college's procedure for academic dishonesty. Some instructors will simply give you an F on that particular assignment, some will give you an F for the entire class, and some will elevate the charge to the department chair. After it reaches the department chair, there may be a record of the dishonesty. It sounds like your instructor is doing none of that and letting you off with a warning.

Definitely no impact on your citizenship.

It doesn't look like the lecturer has it in for you, he gave you 100%! But he wants you to make sure that this doesn't happen again, because others may not be as lenient as him.
