hi everyone,

here is my scenario:

My Ozzie fiancé and i are filling out a I129-F petition for the K1 Visa to move back to America. On the part where it ask for my mailing address, would it be ok if I put the address where we will be staying (which is my parents house) instead of my physical address in Australia or is immigration gonna be particular about this?

any thoughts?

thanks everyone

Use your US address. How long have you been living in Australia?

ok, so that won't cause any issue? I just want to make sure there won't be any confusion or they don't think i'm giving false information for anything.

i've been here for 7 months.

i moved here to be with my fiancé and am on a bridging visa but we want to move back home.

On form I-129f you put the American address. On G-325a you can put your Australian address as your present address I believe. Have you worked out everything else you will need for this process? Proof of domicile? Filed taxes for 2015? Do you have a joint sponsor?

well there is no address needed for the biometrics form. and i know there are two places where they ask for addresses. the one where they want to know where the alien fiancé will stay and my mailing address which i figure it would be easier if they had the american address. of course i can notify them of my address here in my proof of having met in person.

i believe I have. my parents will help as joint sponsor. i have done my american taxes. i've been jobless since i've been here so my taxes were mainly for the job i had before i moved over.

when you say proof of domicile, do you mean if i can prove ties back to the united states?

You fill out where you lived for the last 5 years on the biometrics form....so yes you put down an address there.

Yes, proof of ties to the US. But since you've only been go for 7 months you probably have most things still there ha?
