Can Multiple RFEs be Issued During the Intial Phase of a K-1?

I am the USC filing for a K-1 visa for my Lebanese fiancé. We filed in January and received a simple, straightforward RFE asking exactly "where" we met. Sent back the info and already received notification that USCIS has received our response and is back to processing our case. My question is: Is it common to see more than one RFE be sent out at this phase, or do they wait until they review the entire file and then put everything needed in one single RFE?

You can get more than one though it is not common.
