Hi guys. What to do if you finally receive your K1, K2 visas (for adult and child), and there's a note in there that says: "Presente su visa solo en el horario de 01:00 a 04:00 PM en las oficinas de inmigracion por el puente de Cordova."

It means: Present your visa only during the hours of 01:00 to 04:00 PM in the immigration offices on the Cordoba bridge.

So that means that you can't fly directly to the USA? You have to go through the Cordoba bridge first? Why? If you already have the visas en your passport, then you can just buy the ticket and fly to the USA, I thought. What if you live 13 hours from Cordoba bridge?

Please clarify. Thanks!

I think it is so the officers can be met so you can give them some final consideration before leaving.

Isn't Cordoba next to Freedonia?

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

May be too late for you (sorry -- just saw this), but for ohers who may have the same question:

This kind of annotation on the visa is only done in Ciudad Juarez. Because they do so many visas every day, and most people immediately cross into the US visa one of the land (bridge) crossings, the consulate has an agreement with the immigration offices at the land crossings to help them prepare for the number of people who may be presenting immigrant visas on any given day. They put the information on the visas and alert the port of entry as to the time frame and the number of people to expect so they have sufficient officers available to process them. If you are not doing a land crossing you can use the visa to fly directly into the US, but you will likely need to be ready to exlain the annotation to the airline (and maybe even the immigration officer where you do enter).

Thanks. I figured it was for the people who had intentions to cross over into the USA by land... the instructions say to use Puente Cordoba, because I think, if I'm not mistaken, there are civil marriages that are performed there. However, if you don't have intentions of marrying at the Texas/Mexico border, then I would think that little note wouldn't apply, right?
