Montreal and Packet 4

So, my visa application was received by Montreal Embassy on the 30th of March and sent my Packet 3 documents right away.

I called the Embassy on the 1st of April because I got nothing from them regarding packet 4 and they told me I could schedule my appointment as well as my medical appointment and that packet 4 should come shortly.

My interview is paid for and scheduled on the 27th of April.

My medical appointment is at Medisys on the 21st of April.

I have read here that the packet 4 letter is necessary for the interview.

So far, I still have not received it, it has been a week.

I called the Embassy again today, and they told me to communicate directly with Montreal office by email, which they obviously do not reply to...

So I called the DOS and they only could tell me my interview date and that a correspondence was sent to me on the 1st of April which I did not get, they could not tell me if it was mail or email even...

I want to know if anyone has gone to the interview without the packet 4 letter and without any issue...

I finally got a reply. They told me they are waiting on a proof of status ( probably because I am french in Canada with permanent residency), and said they sent me a letter on the 1st of April. I have not received it so far, but I was able to send the requested document by email right away.. Hopefully, I will get my packet 4 soon...

I finally got a reply. They told me they are waiting on a proof of status ( probably because I am french in Canada with permanent residency), and said they sent me a letter on the 1st of April. I have not received it so far, but I was able to send the requested document by email right away.. Hopefully, I will get my packet 4 soon...

I am in the same situation as you (french in canada), which email did you use? I will contact them the same way as you then.

No!! I want to!!! But I don't know if I should as i didn't get any news from the embassy yet :s I sent my apcket 3 on april 6 (i saw that my status changed to ready the day before) but didn't get any news from them since. What should I do?

Email them, cause they said they sent me a letter of the 31st of March, still haven't received it to this day. If I didn't emailed them, I would still be waiting!

I sent them the copy of my permanent resident card by email on Wednesday, and this morning they sent me that : Kindly note we did receive your document and it has been forwarded for review. As soon as we have an update on the status of the case we will gladly advise you.

In other words : shut up and wait! hahaha

I received none.. I sent my packet 3 before they requested it.

And the letter was for an extra paper they need before issuing packet 4 : my status in Canada was obviously unclear.

Now they are reviewing my case to see if I am eligible to apply for a US visa while living in Canada... If they think everything is fine, they will send packet 4

I booked my appointments, they know I did cause I told them in the correspondence we exchange by email.

I am just concerned I am not going to get the packet 4 on time, and might have to reschedule....

That is tghe issue you might have to deal with if you book before receiving packet 4!

I see what you mean! Well Even if i book medical/interview,I'll probably going to do it for the end of may.

They can cancel your interview without notice if you book it without having received packet 4.
