Hi all. Wanted to do a quick review of my husband's medical at Andrews and didn't know where to post it. His appt was at 10:00. He reached there right at 10 and was there til 3:00. He said there wasn't a lot of people but it was a lot of waiting. He did a chest X-ray, gave a urine and blood sample, and had to get one shot, as he had a nurse in Spanish Town give him the immunizations beforehand at a fraction of the cost. The doctor basically went over the medical history form and asked questions like did he smoke, has he ever heard voices, or has he ever tried to harm himself or someone else. He said they told him normally they give you a date to pick up the results but they will send his results to the embassy. His interview is in 2 weeks. When we called to try to reschedule his medical for an earlier date due to the additional testing (no earlier dates available), she said the results wouldn't be back in time and the embassy was aware. So I'm guessing (and praying) that's the only reason they're sending them straight to the embassy.

They started sending the medical results directly to the embassy recently. Mine got sent directly in July then I went back the day of my interview to pick up the chest x-ray CD

Hello I've been following this thread for awhile now. I have two question. 1. what is estimated time the NVC closes your case? 2.After your case is sent to embassy how long does it take to get an interview date? My scan date was Oct 4th.

Hi , It's 30-45 days for case complete with no issues. After Case complete it's another 30 days to get an interview date for the following month.

For example an estimate for you would be:

Scan date: Oct 4th

Case complete estimate: Nov. 5th

Interview date received: November 30th

Interview Date: January sometime

That's what a typical timeline would look like. It might be quicker if you are lucky and longer if you get a checklist or NVC is being slow which is very possible.

Keas thanks for the fast reply to my questions. Oh okay, its a waiting game,so we will have to wait. I know I just started this process but the wait and suspense is killing me and my husband. Thanks again for answering my questions.

No problem. Yes it's definitely a waiting game but once it's all over it'll be totally worth it and it will feel like it went by so quickly. Good luck
