Hi all,

I'm preparing the immigration visa package to submit to NVC and I had my spouse get his police certificate. He had a car accident in February of 2015 and he injured a military serviceman as a result of the accident. Because of the fact that a military serviceman was involved in the accident, the accident was placed on his police certificate. Any accident involving ordinary citizens is not placed on police certificates in Lebanon. A judgement regarding the accident was made in August of 2015 by the court system in Lebanon.

The police certificate record states: "Penalty 200,000 Lebanese pound ($133): he neglected and did not observe the traffic system and had an accident and injured the corporal XXXX XXXX for a period of five working days."

This will be on his record for 3 years. There are no other records on the police certificate.

Will this cause any problems for obtaining the immigration visa?

Thanks in advance!

It probably won't be a problem. They look for more serious crimes like felonies etc. Not really car accidents.

This will not cause any problems with his immigration visa. Did he pay the penalty?

Thank you! Yes, he paid the penalty in August 2015.
