In what way the US embassy manila or the dfa manila (passport) will know if the birth certificate is valid or not, I have a friend who just recently passed their i-130 ,we were talking on phone until she told me about the her birth certificate she used fixer for the surname in her birth certificate so she can able to marry to her husband and she did and got her passport and did able to passed the i-130 form, I'm not here to judge her its just I'm curious why dfa didn't notice her birth certificate that its fake .

At the I-130 stage the USCIS service centres don't require birth certificates of the intending immigrant. So if one was sent it was likely ignored.

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

when i got my passport from DFA Cebu there was a mistake on my birth certificate too and they also didn't notice it. Although mine is not fake but has mistake, father's name is not complete (JR. is missing). I don't know how it passed but it did. I have it corrected already just to make sure it wont cause any delay in the future.

Good luck to your friend, I hope all will be well on her application, especially on her interview, she might be asked to provide NBI with AKA but still not sure though.
