HELP!! My fiance forgot his Birth Certificate

My fiance filed our K1 visa application last month. We already received our NOA1 but we aee worried because we just realized that he forgot to put a copy of his birth certificate in our packet. Will this affect our NOA2? Thank you

Yes if he has no proof of being a USC either birth certificate or copy of all passport pages you'll get an RFE.

Then when you get the RFE you just send what they want and you get approved shortly after that.

You know it's coming so just have it ready

It can take 1-2 months for CIS to issue the request for evidence. Yes, requests for evidence delay the process but not significantly if you sent the evidence requested as soon as possible. You have 87 days to respond to an RFE.
