Affidavit proof of income.

My fiance has been working for the same company for about 2 years. But in August he got a pay rise and put on salary. His W2 isn't going to be up to scratch, but he does earn over 125 percent of the poverty threshold (now), but before August he didn't. That'll reflect in his W2. What evidence should I ask him to bring with him next month to start the form off? Would bank statements and pay stubs be enough?

I had that same problem, I included a contract for my job which includes my salary. I have also heard of others getting letters from their employers.

I had my interview in London last week, the only evidence they asked for was a letter from his employer ( it gave his job title, how long he's worked there and salary)

I had all of those but as I said he only asked for a letter from his employer, I would say that if you don't have or can't get one then anything that shows his income is above poverty level would be fine - London are pretty relaxed and the man who took my documents was really friendly and helpful

Thanks I will tell him to get a letter from work if he can and save pay stubs. That seems like the best option. Hopefully he can get it before he visits in March then I'll have it here

When London is given a choice of many proofs, they seem to like an employer letter. That doesn't mean they wouldn't accept other proofs. I would put bank statements on the bottom of the list unless you were using assets instead of a job and wanted to show how much cash you have amassed. For one thing, a direct pay deposit only shows net income after taxes, Social Security, and Medicare are taken out. A pay stub would show gross income before deductions. More money

Thanks, I had already told him to save some pay stubs. So that should be fine. Hopefully he can get a letter from work too.

I don't have a letter from my lady's employer, this has just freaked me out a little!!!

Do have her tax return (2014), W2, bank statement and a wage slip, would think that's enough?

W2 is perfect. Unfortunatly my SO has a weak W2 as just got a promotion mid year. We're a 4 person family so his W2 wouldn't show enough. Hence the letter from work.
