CRBA Rookie - appointment in Mexico city

I'm a newcomer to these forums but everything I've been reading so far has been a great help.

I wanted to ask for advice for filing a CRBA for my four month old father. I've got the appointment in Mexico city this Wednesday and am understandably nervous about the paperwork and wanted to see others who've gone through this experience.

I am a U.S. citizen from birth (L.A. Pride!) And a Mexican citizen who has been living the past four years in Mexico. I got married to a Mexican citizen about a year and a half ago ( the forums have been helpful in knowing what I can bring for when I file her paperwork)

I have all of the paperwork for my daughter, photos of the mother pregnant, the both of us together with our daughter, ultrasounds, etc. I asked the Embassy if any paperwork had to be translated into English but didn't get a direct response (they were more insistent via email as to if I had ever left the U.S. Before 2011 to which I had to say no several times). Do you happen to know if they need to be translated?

Also, since this is my first time doing this, does my wife have to be present? I saw a post here that someone said an SS11 (social security number) can be filed as well? Is this true? I couldn't find anything on the Mexico city embassy site.

Since I will also be filing a passport application for my daughter, where can I get a passport photo taken for her?

One final question. Has anyone gone through Mexico city or a similar experience so I can know what to bring and what to expect. Beforehand, thanks so much for the help =)

yes all your documents have to be translated to english. you have to be present and the mother as well. you can filefor the passport and the social security card at the same time with CARBA.

Now you will have to prove 5 years of presence in the US so you can pass your citizenship to your daughter. You can use school transcripts, paystubs ...

I was told via email on the topic of the i130 that I could translate documents if I know English and Spanish, which I do, but on the website it says I need to provide a document certifying that I am capable of doing so. Do you happen to know what this document is like or what I can put? (This wouldn't count as lying)

With the documents i had to translate i just had an attached sheet with each that said, and to be on the safe side, i translated everything in Spanish, and my birth certificate that was in English to Spanish also.
