Hi, I have a question regarding my petition. So, I have submitted the necessary paperwork separately for my parents including my marriage certificate since i change my surname to my husbands last name. Now, I received a Request of evidence asking for my birth certificate and my parents marriage certificate for my dad and just my birth certificate for my mom. I don't understand why they are asking the same documents that I already submitted originally which is from National Statistics Office/Philippine Statistics Authority when I filed the petition? Am I missing anything? It is also written in bold letters this "applicants should request certificates issued with a "CDLI endorsement (Court Documents and Legal Instruments)...

Is it because I am using my married name now that they might be confused about my name?

Please help...I don't want to submit the same thing and they will mail me the same exact thing...

Thank you in advance...

Sorry to hear about this. I just had this similar situation with a guy I am helping bring his wife and stepchild to the US. Make sure you read the RFE very carefully. For example, in addition to the documents requested, the RFE also stated to make sure the same documentation for any additional persons listed on the petition are also included. It is not uncommon for the USCIS to ask to resubmit the same documentation, updated if available, be included with the original petition again. The USCIS may lose documentation/evidence or misplace it, who knows...

Best of luck!
