Well I just used an excel spreadsheet tracking her monthly salary and backed up by her wage statements.

There is no way for the IRS in theory to track your overseas income, but being the honest person that I am I decided to include it any way for my wife. My accountant agreed and signed off on the way in supplemented/documented.
