For the Police Clearance Certificate, which one should we consider. My finance lives in NSW.

Police Clearances from Australia
Follow the instructions from Australian Federal Police

Police Clearances from Australia: New South Wales
For those currently living within NSW Australia follow the instructions from New South Wales Police

I just want to make sure we get the right one, i have heard some times cases goes into AP after the interview for not getting the right certificate. Is the time frame of getting either one the same. Additionally, should we get one with the fingerprints or without?

Thank you guys! I really appreciate your response, as I'm getting very confused on which path to follow.

Hi Sukran,

You don't need fingerprints. if you're doing it online through the AFP website you need code 33 (this will give you a full disclosure).

35 may seem like the right option, but will only give you a standard disclosure :)

Thank you! This helps a lot. Can i ask how many days it took you to get your passport back with visa after the interview? Did it go into AP?

Also did you use tax transcripts or 1040 form with W2s?

It took about a week. I didn't see it go into AP, it went from ready immigrant, to ready non immigrant, to issued. I also got an email letting me know if was issued and giving me the tracking details for the courier.

I actually didn't provide any tax details with my i-134, we had an employer letter and two pay slips. We also had a co-sponsor and they provided an employment letter, a number to call for their accountant if further information was needed.

thank you dear. My finance lives in NSW. Is this true that we need two police certificates. One from AFP and second from New South Wales Police. My attorney is advising us to get both. I'm hoping we will be ok with just AFP one.

If she does the AFP one, does she need to send in her passport or just scans? It seems to take much longer than the NSW one even though the AFP is cheaper.
