Fiancee in Manila, Philippines. She needs to get her police clearance from Singapore where she lived and worked for several years. She has a contact to help her do the paperwork. The question is about obtaining the finger prints. We do not have the NVC letter yet (which is supposed to have the MNL case number), and no idea when. Hopefully yesterday!!! If she goes to the NBI, will she need the letter?

According to the Visa Check website (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx), our case is already ready:

"Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section......."

So what is the easiest method for her to get her fingerprints?

She has asked people with mixed results. I kind of have been able to trust 76% of the people on this board about 45% of the time.

Thanks!!

Fiancee in Manila, Philippines. She needs to get her police clearance from Singapore where she lived and worked for several years. She has a contact to help her do the paperwork. The question is about obtaining the finger prints. - where is this required?? Singapore?

We do not have the NVC letter yet (which is supposed to have the MNL case number), and no idea when. Hopefully yesterday!!! If she goes to the NBI, will she need the letter? - Embassy letter not needed to get an NBI Clearance. She can do the application form online, purpose is: Travel abroad.

Click here for the registration and online form: https://www.nbi-clearance.com/

MORE INFO: http://www.nbiclearance.com/how-to-apply-nbi-clearance-online/

According to the Visa Check website (https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx), our case is already ready:

"Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section......." - if you need anything related to your case for your Singapore PC, screen shot the CEAC Status. The embassy letter will be received by your fiancee in the Philippines in 30 days or more from NOA 2 date. That is if she is form Metro Manila or major cities. If she is from a far flung province - DON'T WAIT FOR THE EMBASSY LETTER. You can use the CEAC Status for MNL reference.

Here's the requirement for US Embassy Manila:

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

Where are you on the process now? If you have your MNL number, pay for the Visa fee, schedule interview and do the medical.

So what is the easiest method for her to get her fingerprints?

She has asked people with mixed results. I kind of have been able to trust 76% of the people on this board about 45% of the time. SERIOUSLY?? rule of thumb, stick to the answers which are relevant to your application. That is stay on the Philippines forum specially for Philippines embassy specific process. Process are embassy specific- as simple as that. And of course more and more research and readings on our part.

You are confusing me with Singapore PC and NBI Clearance here.

cristina16, I have not been able to find how to get her address changed for anything to be mailed to her. I was told that would not be needed until she goes to interview. Anything that gets mailed to the address on the 129 form will be lost or destroyed.

Yes, she needs a Singapore police clearance for the interview.

As for where we are now, I got the MNL over the phone, but I need money to get the visa paid.

I will look into those links, thanks, and yours as well, Merry.Thank you.

So much stuff involved. Assembling a warp core manifold is easier that this visa bit.

She just really needs to know how and where to get her fingerprints, while living in Manila right now, for her Singapore police clearance.

Have she registered at ustravel docs?

The embassy notice will be sent to the address use in the I 129F. Yeah I remember your post on her address used in the forms. You can use the screen shot from the CEAC website for the MNL reference, the embassy letter is not that important. Everything you can get from the websites.

As for the finger prints - first is you have to check if Singapore will accept finger prints taken from Manila. Do they have any accredited agency here? Even NBI is now using biometrics, they are not doing manual finger prints.

Worst case scenario- buy her a flight to Singapore, it will not cost you that much with a lot of cheap local carriers.

She just really needs to know how and where to get her fingerprints, while living in Manila right now, for her Singapore police clearance.

You can try your local police or Philippine National Police located in Manila (See below).

She can go to Camp Crame, which is the national headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) located along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EdlSA), Quezon City for finger printing (here is the telephone number if needed 02-732-0401). You will need one 2x2 OR 1x1 photo when you visit Camp Crame for fingerprinting.

You will be given another form to fill out and then instructed to pay the processing fee of 200Php. You will be directed to the nearby Land Bank of the Philippines - Camp Crame Branch to pay your fee (address: Bagong Lipunan Ng Crame Cubao, Queson City, Metro Manila, Philippines).

Once, back at Camp Crame, you will be instructed to go to the 2nd floor to have your fingerprints taken. They walk you through applying your fingerprints to two fingerprint forms, one form will stay on file with Camp Crame, and the other fingerprint form will be yours to use for completion of the PC application.
