Hello VJ ? Quick question please

After I get green card in my hand How long do I have to wait to apply for US citizenship ? I heard it doesn't take 5 years to wait for US military spouse to get US citizenship .

And what kind of paper or processing do I have to fill ( DO) ? The same as other immigration people ?

Thank you

Hello

Go to the USCIS website. There you will find the guidelines for Citizenship for Spouses and Children of Military Members. You should find the answers to your questions there. Good luck. d&C

As a spouse of US Citizen you are eligible to apply for citizenship 90 days prior to your green card's 3 year anniversary date not 5 years. You don't have to be a military spouse. But as a military spouse, you can expedite the process when you start the citizenship process only if your spouse has an immediate foreign deployment order.
