on my I-129F NOA2 it says it will be forwarded to NVC and then soon to the Embassy where my wife will be interiewed.

that i understood as how K-3 visa works.

on my I-130 NOA2 it did not say that it will be retained as CSC or NVC (or i just didnt understand what it means, sorry guys!). here's what it says:

" the above petition has been approved. the petition indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the united states and will apply for adjustment of status. He or she should contact the local INS office to obtain form I-485, Application for permanent residence. A copy of this notice should be submitted with the application.

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for a visa outside the USA based on this petition, the petitioner should file form I-824, Application for action on an approved application or petition, with this office to request that we send the petition to the department of state NVC.

The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate."

guys im just confused and dumb so help me understand this.

what should i do? my wife is not in the USA yet.

should i just wait for the entire I-129F (K3) to be processed and as soon as my wife arrives in the USA, that will be the time we should worry/ act on the I-130 and just do adjustment of status in the USA.???

help me pls.

God bless us all.

If you are following the K-3 route and want to adjust status in the States, which it looks like you do, then yes. You wait until your wife gets here and then you may start the AOS process. Because the K-3 is a two-year multiple entry visa, you do not have to begin AOS the moment she enters, but it makes sense to begin it as soon as you are able, as AOS can take quite some time.

The notice you received did indicate that your I-130 is being retained (it doesn't use the word "retained", but that is the essence of it :) ) due to the assumption that your wife will be adjusting status once she is in the US. You don't have to do anything with the I-130 except include the NOA2 in your AOS application.

I am also very confused

We received our I-129F and our I-130 at the same day 16 FEB

Then on 01 March we received a letter from the NVC stating that they willbe forwarding the I-129 to the Cyprus Embassy where we were married though we had clearly indicated that we needed it to be processed in Egypt where I reside

If it will take a trip to Cyprus no problem but nw I see that it is better to pursue the I-130 which from what I understand from here willbe retained and we will have to file an I-824

Last question what happens after we receive a cse number from the NVC and a note that it is forwarded to the Cypriot Embassy

I am not sure what to do please help.....................

Thank you

This is our timeline:

* 27 Oct. 06: I-130 notice was received with the California center

* 18 Nov. 06:I-129 notice was received

* 16 Feb. 07: I-130 approved

* 16 Feb. 07: I-129 approved

* 01 Mar. 07: Letter from NVC with a case number to be forwarded to the embassy

Thank you
