Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if the beneficiary can also call NVC to ask for any updates. Our papers were received by NVC last Dec 28 and I understand we should be waiting for 2-4 weeks for them to review the papers, however its day 25 already from when NVC received our papers, we are expecting that there are progress at least.

My husband called NVC the other day and was told that some of our docs were delayed... I want to understand more the process and expected timelines, and what documents were delayed or are our documents even complete already? My husband was extremely disheartened by the news and is unable to focus, he forgot to ask about needed papers and when will be the expected date for our case to be closed at NVC, which is why I wanted to call NVC, just not sure if its fine for me to do since I am not the petitioner.

Thank You.

Hi Alveoli

I am the beneficiary I contacted the NVC via email they responded the same day.

I understand that it can be disheartened when you are asked to submit more documents. But your husband has to keep holding on.

All the best.

Thanks Dwheels!

Hi Empress- I am not sure how to contact NVC through email and will I be getting a detailed response as well? I am worried I might be getting the generic response though email, but I really do want to step in. I want to know how to help us move with the process.

Thank you so much!

Hi Dwheels

This is the email address for the NVC:

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Please make sure that you include the beneficiary name, case number and DOB and also the petitioner's name a DOB so that the NVC can respond to your query.

All the best.

Thanks All. :)

Was able to call NVC. It turned out there was no issue with our papers. My dear Husband is just too excited to see me that he panicked and got confused with the information given to him.

Jan 30th will be the 30th day of our papers in NVC, hopefully we got all the things they need to avoid further delays. Hopefully we will be able to close our case at NVC by first week of Feb. :)

Again, thank you for the help!
