Hi guys,

My fiance and I are newly engaged and still getting to grips with the K1 process!

We just wanted to know, as for payment, would it be okay to include a personal cheque in the I-129F packet as payment? Or does it need to be done electronically?

Thanks guys,

Ben & Katie

Thanks for the reply!

Just read through it but i'm still a bit confused, can we leave a cheque in the packet itself to be opened and submitted, or do we need to file it with the bank prior to sending the packet?

Your American fiance completes all the forms, includes all the documents needed, and paperclips a personal check to the top page.

He makes a photocopy of everything he is sending including the check. Then when you start second guessing yourself if you included something or signed the forms or made the check out to the exact required payee....you can look at the packet clone. You do NOT have to make two copies as the guides say. There is no actual need for you in the UK to have your own copy for immigration purposes. If you each want one just to look at, then two copies is fine.

Fantastic, that clears everything up.

Thanks so much.
