Tax Return for N-400 Interview

Hello all. I have my N-400 interview tomorrow

In the notice it states to bring tax return/transcripts for the last 3 years. I have a tax transcript for 2014 but never ordered them for 2012 and 2013. Therefore I'll be bringing tax returns for those years. What forms do I need to include if I am going the return route? Does the 2-page Form 1040/1040a suffice or do I need all of the supporting documents (student info worksheet, personal info worksheet, etc.)?

We file our taxes using Turbo Tax and the complete package contains several pages. There are 20 pages for 2012 and over 40 for 2013. Are all of these necessary or just the two main forms good enough? If I have an idea of what the IO is looking for it'll help decide whether I should print it all or not.

Hello,

I would say get the whole package each for the 2 years you mentioned. The IO most probably would look at the 1st few pages. Better carry it than be sorry. He/she is looking for filing status and if you have paid everything to IRS. Other members may be able to give you better insight. Thanks

If you bring the papers and affirm that you do not owe any taxes, you will be fine. Just print up what you can, as no one wants to get a request for evidence.

It seems that most don't bother to look unless you've indicated past issues. Congratulations on being recommended for citizenship.
