Hi everyone,

My 90 days window for 3 year marriage rule starts from 15th January and I am planing to submit N-400 application same day. My question is

1) Is it ok to submit Tax transcripts for 2012,2013 and 2014 ?

2) I got a letter from IRS in December that i owe some money to which my accountant replied with correction. The amount after correction is not that much so my accountant told me that i can submit that when i file for 2015 returns. I just received acknowledgement letter from IRS for our reply. I will file last year tax return as soon as i get my W2 which probably would be around last week of January. So my question is do i still need to mention that i owe money or i can just say no since i will be paying it before the end of the month?

Thanks for the help.

1. That is fine, you won't need 2015 until after the April deadline. In fact, unless things have changed since I naturalised (entirely possible!) tax returns are not needed, just one of several suggested documents to show co-mingling of finances.

2. Say what is correct the day you mail the forms. You can always wait a bit to send the forms after you send the money, or write a cover letter explaining the situation.
