We are on the nvc stage with my wife (she is in the Philippines) . Im currently self employed since 2015 (as a mover) (I have some check stubs to prove the income). I have been unemployed from 2011-2014 (had to take care of my father. My mother is a nurse. We live in the same house hold and she makes more then enough for the poverty guidelines. I have no tax returns because my mother claims me as a dependent on her tax returns, the years I was unemployed. I Know I have to fill up the I-864 what should I put on tax return? and Should I use my mom as a I-864a or get her to do a I-864? I figured I-864a since we live in the same house hold. Thanks for the help in advance.

hi

the i864 for your mom, as you have no income to combine with your mom

if there was income she could use the i864A

you will file the i864 regardless as petitioner and primary sponsor, and attach a letter explaining why weren't you required to file taxes

your mom will file the i864 as your joint sponsor
