Spouse's last name changed

Hi everyone,

Hoping somebody can help me with the following concern. I am filling out the form I-751 to have the condition on my temporary card removed and get the one that is good for 10 years. I am from Colombia and my wife is an American. On the marriage certificate, she has her original last name, but later she decided to take my last name instead. I was wondering which last name ( her original or my last name ) she should put when doing Part 3 on the form I-751. God bless you all and have a happy new year!

Are you using the new form? Part 4, your wife would use whatever surname is is currently using as the family (last) name. Her maiden name would be on the marriage certificate because that's who she was she she got married.

I was using the old one. I just printed out the new version. So, you mean that when doing part 4, my wife can use my last name which she has currently been using and this shouldn't be a problem, right?
