If you wanted to know how tte FBI responds to a Congressional Request, here it is:

I am responding to your facsimile inquiry dated January 18, 2007, concerning

the name check status of Ms. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX for immigration purposes.

A review of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI's) Name Check Program

database concerning this individual revealed that a request was received

from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on

September 8, 2006, and is currently in process.

The FBI is sensitive to the impact of the delays in processing name check

requests. At the same time, the consequence of the FBI's mission on

homeland security requires that our name check process be primarily focused

on an accurate and thorough result. While an exact date for completion of

this review cannot be given, please be assured that the results will be made

available to the immigration authorities as quickly as possible.

So now at least we know they do not wait to long to submit the request.

many of us have had ours confirmed ordered just around the time of our NOA1's.

Our senator confirmed Wes' to have been ordered just a few days after NOA1. They forwarded to us the entire e-mail received by their immigration liason. The verbage was similar to Annie's.
